Rules of Competition

The Southeastern Hair and Fashion Show Summer Expo is held annually in July at the Schwartz Center in Wilmington, NC. The evening includes elegant and extreme futuristic visions of art expressed through fashion and hair creativity. To take it a step further, barbers and stylist compete on the stage to showcase their talents.

This event showcses innovative stylists highlighting unique styles while wearing trendy non-revealing fashions.

Participants get a chance to see other professional barbers and stylist at their best and network in a friendly-competitive atmosphere.

Pre-judging on ALL hair styles and hair cuts will take place before the hair show for the Barbers & Stylist. Pre-judging will take place at 6:45pm. The Show will start at 8pm. A schedule will be provided for the pre-judging part. Points will be deducted for tardiness.

Each participating group will have a maximum of five (5) minutes to complete their hair and fashion routine. A grace period of 30 seconds will be granted for each group. One (1) whole point is deducted for every 5 seconds after the initial grace period.

All scores from the panel of judges will be tabulated to determine the winner. In the event that there is a tie, the groups with the tying scores will be asked to select one hair model and come up with something creative in front of the audience and judges with no more than 3 minutes.
